1.     Find the Peak

• Look for where the waves are breaking consistently. That’s the prime takeoff zone.

2.     Spot the Channel

• Look for the deeper, calmer water between breaking waves. It can give you an easier path through the lineup — without fighting every wave.

3.     Watch the Crowd

• See who’s sitting where and who has priority. Give space, respect the order, and you’ll get more waves.

4.     Observe First

• Watch from the beach for a few minutes. Patterns reveal themselves fast

5.     You don’t need to be a local.
