Alani Morse of Raglan wins ISA under-16 bronze in El Salvador

SurfMAD! — Speed. Power. Flow.

Alani Morse of Raglan, New Zealand, took under-16 girls bronze at the 2026 ISA World Junior Surfing Championship in El Salvador. In the final at La Bocana she scored 8.36. Gold went to Lucy Darragh (AUS), silver to Zoë Panettiere (USA).

Surfing New Zealand called it an amazing result from the young Raglan surfer. The bronze matches New Zealand’s best individual finish at the event. The Kiwi team finished eighth overall — their best since they hosted the juniors at Piha in 2010.

Australia won the team title for a third straight year. That same week Leihani Zoric of Broken Head won under-18 gold.

That’s the MAD! mindset — desire, eagerness, and enthusiasm when it counts.
