In August 2026, Connor Reed took the field at Lamade Stadium for the Little League Baseball World Series with Bayonne, N.J. In the stands: his parents and his sister Delaney, the reason he says he gives everything he has.
Four years earlier, Delaney was diagnosed with leukemia at age four. The family leaned on doctors and on their Little League community while she fought through treatment. She was declared cancer-free in July 2024. She rang the bell, then went back to being a kid. In 2026 she made her league’s softball All-Star team as a pitcher. Connor says she tells him the same thing every game: keep going, and have fun.
