Springdale parents saved fall ball after the field disappeared

PlayMAD! UNSTOPPABLE
Lower Valley Little League in Springdale, Pennsylvania, showed up this spring and the Williams Street field was gone. The backstop was down. Gear they had stored there was gone. Nobody had told them.
Vice president and coach David Acres and a group of parents took Agan Park, about three miles away, and made it playable. Hours early. Concession stand. Fall ball for the Pony League happened last weekend because they did the work.
No trophy. The season still got played.
That’s the MAD! mindset — desire, eagerness, and enthusiasm when it counts.
