Somersworth volleyball stays unbeaten, sweeps Kingswood

PlayMAD! UNSTOPPABLE

Somersworth High School is in New Hampshire. The Hilltoppers came into Wednesday unbeaten. Kingswood came in at 7–1. Somersworth swept them 25–21, 25–23, 25–14 and moved to 9–0.

Emily Runions had 17 kills and 10 digs. Abby Brown added 14 service points and 10 kills. Kylie Pettengill had 34 assists. Paige Demers had six kills. Senior Paige Demers called it the statement they wanted.

Coach Steve Hodsdon had just passed 300 career wins. He put it on the players: Somersworth has always been known for being gritty, and this group is that.

That’s the MAD! mindset — desire, eagerness, and enthusiasm when it counts.
