Sumomo Sato and Joh Azuchi win the Tokunoshima Town Pro

On October 10 at Kedokubama Beach on Tokunoshima, Sumomo Sato and Joh Azuchi won the Tokunoshima Town Pro, a QS 2,000.
Sato beat Hana Bakker in the women’s final. An early 3.67 and a two-turn 5.33 put her ahead. A late 4.20 closed it. Azuchi beat Yuji Nishi in the men’s final. After Nishi took a brief lead, Azuchi answered with a 6.33 and held priority to the horn. It was his first QS win since 2018. He moved to No. 4 in the Asia rankings.
